這題答案為什麼是(D) To have?
那為什麼不能選(C)Had 因為我看到句中有was我就選過去式(C)Had

正確的說法是 :
動詞 做主詞用時,必須將此動詞 前加 to 或將此動詞加 ing,
To teach is to learn. 教學相長
Teaching is learning.
teach 是動詞 ,當主詞用,所以可 加 to 或 加 ing

當成主詞一定要是 to have 或是 having had 不能當成主詞
動詞當主詞時只能用兩種:To have or Having .
建議你把這個句子變成這樣:
His life- long dream was to have a new house.
這樣是不是比較好理解了阿!

用動名詞亦可，如Having a new house on the beach was his life- long dream.
但用Had就只有動詞無主詞了。
