How to say "太陽很大" in English?
Hi,
Do you know how to say"今天太陽很大" in English?
Can I say " The sun is very big today." in English? It sounds like Chinglish, doesn't it?
Also, If I wanna say goodbye to my friend who visits me, can I say" Drive carefully.＂？

1. 中文的「太陽很大」，雖然乍聽之下是在說它的尺寸大小，其實我們真正要表達的是 它的「豔陽高照」「炙熱」 。而英文很少提它的尺寸大小，來做這種描述 (頂多他們用 a small/little/low sun 來指清晨或黃昏較薄弱的太陽)。 總之，英美人士較常用的是這些形容詞：blazing 炙熱 (像火燄般熾烈燃燒的)burning 會灼傷人的broiling 會烤焦的blistering 灼熱的；會起水泡的scorching 灼熱的brilliant 豔陽高照的 那麼 「太陽好大」相關的例句：The sun is blazing ! (burning/broiling/scorching…)It’s a burning sun! ( brilliant/broiling/scorching…) 指「天氣熱死人」相關的例句：It’s scorching hot! What a burning day!It’s really a blistering day! 2. 當然可以！ 如果是密友 就可把對方「名字」加上如下： Barbara, drive carefully, please. 如果是自己老爹老媽 就說： Mom, drive carefully.

我以為 the sun is strong 就是在表達太陽很大（陽光強烈）吧。

解釋：
你指的「太陽大」不就是說「陽光很強」的意思嗎？所以別死命想著sun，反而要往sunshine著手。
像友人說「再見」，有很多方法也，但如你想講的：「再見啦，開車要小心喔！」

safe drive = safe driving都是講「開車小心」的意思
但我有點兒不懂是，受邀人是你，怎麼會是你送人離開呢？？應該是你朋友要對你講這句話吧！身為受邀人的你，倒是你可以說：

其實通常外國人是很喜歡太陽的 所以他們都會說天氣很好
這樣就可以說 "It's a very nice day/weather." 或 "It's a gordeous day."
但是如果是真的想抱怨一下的話 可以說"The sun is scorching." 或 "It's burning hot."
如果要送朋友離開的話 通常會說 "Take care."啦~ 如果真的要他小心開車就說"(Please) drive safe."
